
Established in 2005, the Annual Global Women's Forum welcomed nearly 1,200 leaders and opinion trend-setters from all walks of life – the economy, politics, culture or academia – at its third edition last October in Deauville (France). Participants represented over 70 countries; there were 150 speakers of international renown and a programme containing over 60 lectures, debates and workshops.
· Top-notch participants from the worlds of business, politics, culture and academia, opinion leaders and prestigious guests, they were over 650 in 2005, 1000 in 2006 and 1,200 in 2007.
· Participants were of numerous nationalities, including many from the developing and emerging nations: 43 in 2005, 61 in 2006 and 71 in 2007.
· More than 150 internationally known speakers took turns addressing the Forum: Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah of Jordan, Carlos Ghosn, Cherie Blair, Muhammad Yunus, Michèle Alliot-Marie, Jacques Attali, May Chidiac, Mercedes Erra, Jean-Paul Bailly, Barbara Hendricks, Samuel DiPiazza, Irene Khan, Sung-Joo Kim, Christine Lagarde, Anne Lauvergeon, Taslima Nasreen, Nicole Notat, Laurence Parisot, Bernard Kouchner, Ahmed Sheikh and many more.
